We wish to acknowledge several people for their invaluable contributions to this project. We thank Mr. Sommer for providing access to the digital archives, Ms. Emerson for mentoring us, the senior advisors for their guidance, and Anita Edwards, whose wonderful book By Faith and Courage: A History of The Hewitt School, 1920–2010 proved crucial for our project. We owe Ms. Edwards our most sincere gratitude, for it was her outstanding research that made our idea for this project a reality. Finally, we wish to thank the members of the school community—both past and present—for all they have contributed to the modern Hewitt girl's experience.

We dedicate this project to Hewitt's Class of 2020. We thank each of you for making our shortened senior year unforgettable and for inspiring us to reflect on our time at Hewitt. We would also like to dedicate this project to our beloved French teacher, Madame Arnod. Her wise guidance and eternally optimistic spirit encouraged us to become not only stronger French students but better people. Having taught us on-and-off throughout Lower School, Middle School, and Upper School, she will forever hold a special place in our hearts. We love and miss you, Madame Arnod.
